Background & training:

In 2003, in his early twenties and living in NYC, David was looking for something new. He didn’t know what exactly, but he didn’t feel well. From this discontentment grew a curiosity, one which led him to explore many different spiritual teachings, wisdom traditions, healing modalities, self-improvement techniques, the mysteries of the occult, other dimensions, sacred geometry, the supernatural, ancient aliens, bigfoot - you name it. If it was ancient and revered, strange and questionable, or hidden and mystical, he wanted to learn more about it.

Through this purely academic exploration, a deeper desire awakened in him, to experience something greater. After exhausting the New Age section of the bookstore, he decided to leave the realm of the theoretical and take the leap into the experiential. He found a rebirther who led him through several sessions of guided breathwork. The experience was profound, and began him on the journey of healing and awakening that would guide and shape his life.

He fortuitously met Australian shaman Kerry Henwood in 2005, and after one session with her, he knew he had found his path. Shamanism felt like a homecoming, something long-forgotten and yet strangely familiar. He continued working with Kerry over the next decade, and fully committed himself to shamanic studies and practices. He traveled and studied in the Sacred Valley outside Cusco, Peru, with the Shipibo tribe in the upper Amazon, the Wixarika (Huichol) of Mexico, and since 2010 has been domestically rooted in the wonderful community of The Power Path School of Shamanism in Santa Fe, NM. He has completed several of their trainings, including their One-Year Shamanic Studies Program, as well as their Advanced Practitioner’s Training.

Now, after almost two decades of inner exploration and self-discovery, he has cultivated a wealth of powerful, practical, and transformative tools and techniques to facilitate healing, wellness, growth, expansiveness, connection to Spirit and the unseen realms, and an overall richer experience of life.

Since 2007, he has been working with visionary plant medicines in a variety of sacred ceremonies in North and South America. The master plant teachers tobacco, ayahyasca, teonanacatl (psilocybe mushrooms), hikuri (peyote), and huachuma (San Pedro) have illuminated more than any book, workshop, seminar, or human teacher ever could. It was the direct experience he was looking for.

Most recently, David has become deeply immersed in the non-dual teachings of Adyashanti, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, Tony Parsons, Rupert Spira, and others. Through these teachings, David has realized the beautiful ordinariness of awakening.

He currently lives in Boulder County, Colorado, with his wife & daughter.
